AcuLab also manufactures a plotter adapter called the
GYPSY-2000.
This product allows a user to connect a plotter which receives data via the Versatectm Parallel Interface (VPI)
(often called Versatec Greensheet) to a common SCSItm bus.
The VPI protocol is supported by several plotter manufacturers, several of which are listed on the
links page.
A tutorial (50KB) is available which describes the SCSI-2 command set used by the GYPSY-2000. (This tutorial is about 14 pages when printed.) Several short Application Notes are also available describing how to configure, use, and program the Gypsy for maximum performance. They cover several commonly used environments. |
